Pilates

Joseph Pilates believed that your mind controls your muscles and directs your body through precise movements and functions.

Alongside our physiotherapy practice Jenkins runs a fully equipped Pilates studio. Using specially designed equipment and individually selected floor exercises, our Certified Pilates Instructors can provide exercise plans to help YOU get the great results you want.

Pilates enables you to strengthen your core and gently sculpt your body, correcting muscle imbalances whilst putting minimum pressure on your joints and back. Achieving a strong core and stable spine is fundamental to the prevention of back pain and can significantly delay the signs of ageing. Improvement of co-ordination and balance will further reduce the wear and tear associated with arthritis, and have you walking taller, stretching further and feeling better fast!
